Arrival in Negombo

Day 01

After landing in Sri Lanka, journey to the coastal town of Negombo which is well-known for its fantastic seashores and bustling fish markets. Take the day to relax and absorb these beachside charms.

Activity: Rest and unwind after your arrival in the coastal town of Negombo.

Negombo → Chilaw → Kandy

Day 02

To begin your day venture to the Chilaw temples of Mannarai and Munneswaram. These temples are renowned for both their religious significance and exquisite architecture. Proceed to the culturally rich capital of Kandy to continue your journey. Take advantage of the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic and the bustling neighbourhood market by starting a city tour as soon as you arrive.

Activity: Visit the Munneswaram Temple and Manavari Temple on your way to Kandy, followed by a short city tour of Kandy.

Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Day 03

Visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and Seetha Amman Kovil, two important Ramayana sites when you travel to Nuwara Eliya. Savour this hill country’s breathtaking scenery, which is well-known for its chilly climate and tea plantations.

Activity: Visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and the iconic Seetha Amman Kovil in Nuwara Eliya, surrounded by beautiful tea plantations.

Nuwara Eliya → Bandarawela

Day 04

Continue from Nuwara Eliya to Bandarawela, a captivating hill city surrounded by the aid of dense tea plantations and misted mountains. Visit Gayathri-Peedam, a serene Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Gayathri and Divurumpola, a site that is defined inside the Ramayana wherein Sita is stated to have met the Agni Pariksha.

Bandarawela → Ella → Kataragama

Day 05

Kataragama → Galle → Colombo

See the famous Lord Murugan temple in the late morning. Explore Ussangoda, a distinctive coastal region, the believed landing place of Hanuman when he searched for Sita. Visits to Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo and Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa round out your full-day tour of the historically significant Rumassala Temple in Galle.
