Airport → Negombo

Day 01

Take a town tour of Negombo to view the stunning beaches and bright religious sites. Visit Sigiriya to support the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which is a beautiful place to see newborn elephants that have been abandoned by their parents.

Negombo → Pinnawala → Sigiriya

Day 02

Take a city tour of Negombo to begin the day by seeing its historic churches bustling fish markets and Dutch canals. After that, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to observe the lovely elephants playing and getting showers. Proceed to Sigiriya, where you will spend the night preparing for your trip tomorrow.

Sigiriya → Polonnaruwa → Sigiriya

Day 03

Start your day by climbing Sigiriya Rock, the most visited destination in Sri Lanka. Once housing the monarch's palace the steps leading to the pinnacle are guarded by the fabled large lion paws. Discover the fascinating history of Polonnaruwa by exploring the island in the afternoon.

Activity: Climb Sigiriya and visit Polonnaruwa.

Sigiriya → Anuradhapura → Habarana

Day 04

Visit Anuradhapura, the state's original historical capital. View the kingdom's beautiful palaces, reservoirs, and irrigation systems. In the afternoon, go on an adventure jeep safari through Minneriya National Park, which is said to have the arena's biggest seasonal elephant gathering.

Activity: Tour Anuradhapura and Jeep safari at Minneriya.

Habarana → Dambulla → Kandy

Day 05

On this day, you'll arrive at your Kandy lodgings. On your way to Kandy, stop to visit the UNESCO-designated Dambulla cave temple. The ceilings and walls of this temple's five tunnels are adorned with old artistic endeavours. Before visiting Kandy, take a stroll around the spice garden.

Activity: Visit Dambulla Cave Temple and spice garden, then head to Kandy.

Kandy City

Day 06

Take a tour of Kandy, a vibrant town with fantastic shopping opportunities for Sri Lankan items. Explore the gem, batik, silk, and wood carving shops. Take a stroll through the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens before heading to the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Finish the day with an evening cultural event.

Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Day 07

Continue to 1800 meters above sea level which is Nuwara Eliya. Savour the beauty of stunning views of exquisite tea estates. Take in the breathtaking Ramboda Falls and tour a tea-making facility.

Activity: Visit a tea factory and explore the city.

Nuwara Eliya → Horton Plains → Nuwara Eliya

Day 08

See the well-known hiking location Horton Plains which is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. You'll see Bakers Falls and the World End along the way.

Activity: Trek in Horton Plains National Park.

Nuwara Eliya → Ella

Day 09

Take a scenic train to Ella this morning which provides sweeping views of tea plantations, canals, reservoirs and waterfalls.

Activity: Scenic train ride to Ella.

Ella → Yala

Day 10

At Yala National Park the most visited tourist destination in recent years take a Jeep Safari. Witness Sri Lankan leopards and Asian elephants living in the wild.

Yala → Galle

Day 11, 12 & 13

This morning, see Galle's stunning Dutch Fort. It is one of Asia's most well-preserved Colonial Sea Castles. The island's oldest breadfruit tree is believed to be located within the citadel. Take a Madhu River Boat Ride to have a better grasp of the wetland ecosystem. The next day, you will visit a turtle farm as part of a conservation initiative to conserve endangered baby turtles. Make memories with your family while wandering along the sandy Galle coastline. On your final day in Galle, participate in exciting water sports along the Bentota River.

Activity: Relax on the beach, boat ride on the Madhu River, and visit the turtle farm and water sports in Bentota.

Galle → Colombo

Day 14

Finish off this great tour with transportation to Colombo. If time allows, take a city tour to round off your Sri Lankan holiday!
